David Wilson

Head of Renewable Energy

David Wilson heads the renewable energy practice for Magowi Consultant Group (MCG). He brings proven success and breadth of knowledge in mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, systems engineering and control engineering to MCG as an educator and technocrat. He has the dexterity for getting things done. With MCG, Dave seeks to leverage his skills, expertise, and leadership ability to help drive next generation renewable energy (solar, wind, etc.bi-lateral) initiatives in West Africa.

As an educator, he teaches part-time as an adjunct instructor in Mechatronics Engineering at the Community College of Philadelphia Workforce Development Center (WDC). Most recently, he participated in the bilateral human capacity development training effort sponsored by the United Nations (UN) in solar technology at the University of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, College of Natural & Computational Sciences. Before that, Dave was acting dean of Academic Affairs at ITT Technical Institute in Liverpool, New York, USA. He was department chair School of Computer Electronics Engineering Technology (CEET) in Marlton New Jersey and adjunct instructor in Electrical Engineering (circuitry, calculation, and laboratory) practices and project management at the Mercer County Community College (MCCC) in Mercy County, New Jersey. He once taught at the University of Liberia, West Africa.

As a technocrat, he has taken on leadership roles at a number of corporations including T-Mobile and Global Networks Telecommunications (GNT) corporations in the US with increasing responsibilities – effectively leveraging technology to increase profits, productivity, and competitive edge while delivering significant reductions in the cost of doing business for the organizations.  In Liberia, West Africa, he served as chief broadcast engineer for the Liberian Broadcasting Corporation (ELBC), “Radio VERITAS “and a consultant to the Vatican office in Liberia.

He has a master degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering from Khmelnitsky University in the Ukraine, Eastern Europe, an MBA in Information System Management from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and previously enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Engineering Management at Walden University, Minnesota, USA. Additionally, he has a number of industry certifications and diplomas including Ericsson Civil Training (ECT) Parsippany, New Jersey; Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), Cambridge, Massachusetts; Bucks County Community College, Global Human Rights Leadership Training Institute (GHRLTI), Lagos, Nigeria; Aquila Broadcasting Sets, Rome, Italy; and African Broadcasting Institute (ABI), Cairo, Egypt.

Dave was born in Liberia, West Africa. He lives in Pennsylvania, USA with his wife and children.
