Lawrence Kennedy is a co-founder and managing partner of Magowi Consulting Group. He is a PMI-certified project management professional (PMP) with expertise in managing technology, process improvement, infrastructure and development projects. Lawrence is responsible for technical operations at MCG. His diverse career includes over 20 years as a vice president for the fixed income and equities department for a Fortune 100 investment bank in New York City; additionally, Lawrence has held positions as an adjunct instructor, training consultant, and development advisor.
As an adjunct instructor, Lawrence has taught courses in management information systems (MIS), project management, lean Six Sigma, data analytics and business modelling.
Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, a Masters of Business Administration in Finance, a Masters of Business Administration in MIS and he is completing his doctoral dissertation on international development with a focus on project management in Africa.
Lawrence is an avid volunteer who has worked with domestic and international organizations including the March of Dimes, the Special Olympics, Porte Liberia’s Child Initiative, The Women Resource Center of Houston, and the Belief Organization. Lawrence is also an active participant in the Project Management Institute’s local chapter working to improve project management profession.
